Antique Eagle Backed Chair in Elgin, Ontario for sale

This chair is an oldie -- and a great gift for any chair enthusiast!! I bought it several years ago from an older fellow who lived on a century farm just north of Lanark. He maintained it was locally made by his grandfather. I'm no expert but I would suspect it dates back to the early 1900s, if not earlier.
By its weight and grain, a large part of it appears to be maple and oak. The eagle motif on the upper back-rest is nicely done and appears to have been carved by hand.
The chair needs some TLC and a little loving maintenance. I've already gently removed the rockers, the seat and the old caning from the back. (The first photo shows it with rockers and caned seat, the 2nd photo shows it without the rockers and seat, and the 3rd is a close-up of the Eagle carving. )
The rockers are still good and can be easily re-inserted, or the chair can be converted to a straight legged (non-rocking) chair.
Unfortunately, I've run out of space in my hobby shop.. and I must sell it. Too bad: It is a unique piece of our late Canadiana heritage.. and it remains a superb winter project.
Although we're told we're asking a very fair price, for a quick sale we can be a little negotiable.
